Cambridge Pre-U Course in Physics

This year Glenlola Collegiate is introducing the Cambridge Pre-U course in Physics for pupils in Year 13.  This is a mathematically based, and academically rigorous qualification which complements the A-level Physics course, extending beyond the standard content to encompass topics such as Special Relativity and Cosmology. It is administered by the University of Cambridge and is a linear (2 year) course, with all of its exams taken at the end of Year 14. Pupils will have a ‘mock’ examination at the end of Year 13 to judge progress.

Further information, including a syllabus, can be found on the CIE website (www.cie.org.uk).  The course is being taught in a style which will lead naturally on to university tutorials, problem classes and lectures.
